As I sit here and have had time to re-cap the day, a few more details come to mind. I had called my neighbor, to make sure she put her dog in while this drama was happening, and I could not get a hold of her. I finally called her poor hubby at work and he came home. And as I think about it, I am glad he did. As the chase was nearing to it's end, my friend had walked out her back door, and as she was out there, a police officer peeked his head over her fence and shook his finger at her and hollered to get in the house. Little did she know at that moment the Wanted Kitty jumped into her backyard. At that same moment her husband was on the roof and saw the poor scared thing run through the backyard, jump the fence to the other nieibors yard and continue down to where they cornered it and tranquillized it again. I have video of when they tried to get it and you can tell it jumps the fence and runs down the next block. So, it is official, kitty was on Parr drive for probably five houses. I feel bad for her, scared and tired, I hope she found a good dinner up in the canyon they let her go in, and gets a good nights rest.
I can't help but think that her getting stuck here is our fault. if we weren't over developing and encroaching into their habitat this wouldn't happen. I feel bad for all the animals we are displacing, and wonder what I can do about it.

What a beautiful morning
I wanted to get the pictures uploaded asap, so now i will fill in the details. This morning i was awakend by the phone rininging. I had laid down for a nap, and i hear my mother on the line asking me where Cole was. I said "here, why? " her reply, "There is a mountain lion in your neighborhood!" my reply "WHAT?!" HOLY COW I thought. So, my morning went like this:
Phone calls ALL THE neighbors, "Where's your dog?" "DID YOU HEAR?" and on and on, messages from Tanya, telling us they have asked that people stay in their homes and keep pets inside too. I look outside and see West Jordan P.D. and annimal control. Then comes the news trucks and the hords of people. No kitty here, so everyone leaves, and hour or so later, the helicoptors show up. I have video of all the comotion. I don't know how to upload that yet. ANYWAY, 150 phone calls later (Thank goodness for call waiting and caller I.D. and for Khols calling to tell me i can save an extra 15% off on Wednesday) the poor kitty ran into the neighbors yard over the fence down the street and caught a sleep-aid. I must have ran outside 50 times, finally i just stayed outside. CRAZY DAY! Maybe as I settle from my excitement i will remember more and fill you in......
