HA HA HA!! I can laugh about it now BUT Sunday night November 9th was crazy! (for me anyway). So, midnight we are finallly winding down and just drifting off to sleep, when in the hallway we here Danzi (our beautiful green eyed long haired cat) start meowing and wanting attention. Nothing new here, usually we pat the bed and she jumps up for her usual night time loves, and then proceeds to sleep on my head, which I hate. We sleep with a water bottle in between out pillows so we can squirt her when she sleeps on my hair. Not this night, we patted the bed and no kitty jumping on the bed, just more meows. By now, I don't care whats going on in the hall, I just want to get as much sleep as possible before Savanna wakes up. Scott, on the otherhand, was paying attention. Her meows were a little muffled he thought. So jumped out of bed to check on her and make sure shes ok. I hear him flip on the light and say "Jen.... something...... Danzi blah blah blah..." The usual is that Danzi is puking, not new. You know the usual hairballs. So I lay in bed and ignore him, then i thought if she's puking he won't clean it up right so i better go help. I get downstairs and ALL the lights are on in the house and they are both looking under the couch. I'm thinking did the puke roll under the couch? NO THE MOUSE RAN UNDER THE COUCH!!!!!! HOLY CRAP THERE'S A MOUSE IN MY HOUSE!!! GEEZE! Scott said she had it in her mouth in the hallway and was probably bringing it into our room when he got up. He saw her in the hall and she dropped it, the thing ran around for a minute and then she caught it again, and brought it downstairs where she dropped it again and it ran under the couch.
Needless to say in a matter of seconds we had buckets and anything we could find to try to catch it or kill it, I was armed with an empty Leatherbys icecream bucket and a whinny the Pooh book, Scott had a sand castle making bucket and a Mickey mouse wand. The couch was turned upside down and we are standing there looking for anything that moved. Cole by this point came down and layed down in his dog bed and "supervised" from there. No mouse, Danzi was watching closely too. Poised to pounce at any sign of movement. After we tore the couch apart, we started on the baby toys. Sure enough it found a nice hiding spot in there. We pick up the toys and it jumped over Scotts hand and into the basket. The first thing that comes to mind is to put the toys outside and go through it till the thing runs out. I will try to paint the picture for you, me and my husband outside on the front porch, 12:30 a.m. about 38 degrees or lower outside going through baby toys (not very gently i might add), ok , TOSSING baby toys, in our UNDERWEAR. I'm not kidding. I was wearing my granny panties and a tanktop and Scott in his hanes his ways..... I said to Scott, "I don't care WHO drives by right now, I want this mouse GONE!". We tear through all the toys, things are singing, books are reading, trains are hooting, i thought for sure Annabelle was going to wakeup. We were standing under window afterall. No mouse. UGH! We look at eachother, crap, it's still in the house. So we go back in and start looking around. By this point Cole has gotten board and went back up to bed. So we sart on the other side of the room. Sure enough it must have ran out of the toys with out us seeing it (Magic Mouse) and has hidden itself under Colemans dog bed. Nice guard dog Cole. Scott moved the bed, grabs his weapon of choice a snd castle making bucket, and catches it in the bucket. WHEW! Except for the fact he didn't put his hand over the top. the bucket is so tiny a turtle could have jumped out of it. I am screaming at him to PUT YOUR HAND OVER THE BUCKET! and then he has the cahonies to try to SHOW ME THE MOUSE! I think he had a death wish. So we take the bucket out front past the mess of baby toys on the front porch strewn everywhere and he tosses the mouse as far as he can, at that same time one of the baby toys was getting ready to go to sleep mode and I hear it say "BYE BYE" as the "Magic Mouse" goes flying through the air hitting the road. Fitting. We now have mouse traps all over outside, and two in the house behind the couch. Not sure how he got in, I think it was when i left the door open the other day. And lets just hope it was an isolated incident.... right???

Holy cow! I give up! No big deal.
Ok, so I do Laundry and i dye my favorite polo shirt yellow, i tried everything to get it out, even the RIT color stain remover, didn't work. I scrub the floors and Coleman runs in with Muddy paws, I wash windows and stick handprints are back two seconds later. I do dishes then i find the sippy cup in the car from two days ago half filled with milk, GAG! I scrub the bathroom and i splatter bleach on my non white shirt. I am never getting out of my grubbies again! Why bother. I'm running in circles and i'm getting dizzy.
So I have been having a line of thoughts lately, scary i know, but just bear with me.
One day we thought to ourselves that this was going to be easy, change the spare bedroom into a nursery, no big deal. Just find somewhere else to put the x-mas decorations, and the oodles of back up gifts, and the spare couch, the wedding dress and the prom corsages, and the headgear from the 6th grade (not kidding, I really kept it all those years). Sure, no biggie........ HA HA HA HA HA.
No big deal, just a small basket of toys in the living room, just something she can play with when she's not doing the 18 hours of sleeping that all babies do. HA. I triped over the choo choo train in my room the other night...... hurt my toe. not impressed.
No big deal, clean out a small part of the cupboard for a few bottles, sippy cups, and binkies and baby medicine, and mickey mouse cups, and tinkerbell cups, and sippy cups, and clean out a small area in the pantry for a few baby food items, and some snacks, and finger foods, and oatmeal, and the stage 1 and 2 and 3, and bibs and high chair, and marshmellows and stars and OH MY GOOOODDDDDDNNNEEESSSSSS!
No big deal, a few toys in the backyard what can two little girls possibly need before the age of two?
Oh, pregnant with number 2??! No big deal, what could one more baby bring?
Yha, it's a BIG DEAL.
Clean out the office make it into #2 nursrey, what to do with the brandnew office furniture? put it in the basement. that hasn't been baby marked YET... HA HA.
I wade through the ball pit, the slide, the musical thingy you stand on, and the swing just to get to the computer now. No big deal.

Busy week!!
Ok, so the power was 1/2 out at our house for 3 days! Thank goodness Scott put in a new conduit 7 years ago when we did the RV pad, otherwise Rocky Mountain Power would have had to cut the driveway at our expense. EEKKKK!!! So Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday was soo much fun at my house. Then we got to take Annabelle and Savanna to Tracey Aviary, they had so much fun! And Liberty park was way more fun than i thought. Then I took Annabelle to get her very FIRST haircut at Cookie Cutters. It was perfect! She got to sit in the Firetruck and slide down the slide, and watch Nemo! I think she would get her haircut everyday if she could! Then on Friday was our first trip to Lagoon. Annabelle rode the boats, and the bumper cars and the merry-go-round, oh and the train. She found the cutest friend Carter, and held his hand all night.

My thoughts on Mothers Day....
I think Mothers Day should be for the kids. I would not be a mother if it weren't for them. They are the reason i have the title of Mother, not that i deserve it right now. I don't think i have been a good mother or wife lately, and i can't belive i am so lucky. Savanna & Annabelle got a cold yesterday, and Savanna was up all night, and i mean ALL NIGHT. I watched the minutes tick by on the clock. I haven't slept in 2 days, and i think i am going to see how long i can go without sleep.... as long as i have Latte's i think i can make it a week.... ha ha. I think around 3:00 i gave in the urg to go back to sleep and just resolved to myself i wasn't going to get any rest. Between the 1:30 hot steam shower and the 2 & 5:00 am nose sucking episodes i was ready to break. As i sat in the basement bawlling from exhaustion while holding a sobbing 5 month old because she couldn't breathe, I knew I wasn't trying hard enough. Oh, did I mention the 1:00 am puke & 9:30 am puke?? Snot can choke... mental note. Scott is sick too and all I could do yesterday is yell at him... I bet he's sorry he came home yesterday. So I think this Mothers day and from now on I will thank my babies for giving me the opportunity to BE A MOM, I have learned so much. Patience, unconditional love, humillity, to be humble, sensitivity toward others, and the fact that EVERY PERSON had a mother, they will never love me more than i love them, and I know they will love their children more than they will ever love me, and I wouldn't want it anyother way.
Spring has sprung!! Happy Easter

Oh how things change......
Just a few reflections lately.
-I was running my mile at the Gym the other night and i actually got excited when i saw the advertizement on the T.V. for an all new......wait for it........... HANDY MANNY , THIS SATURDAY on playhouse Disney!!! OMG, I thought i better mark it on my calendar... i had to laugh to myself.
-Then, i was driving around by myself, without any kids in the car and, i am a TERRIBLE driver without them!! I almost killed myself, in a 2 mile drive. WATCH OUT PEOPLE!!
-Chicken nuggets don't taste as bad as i thought, a little home made Honey Mustard and 'oula gourmet meal! Watch out Bobby Flay, i can rock a nugget!!
Alaska week has started, wahooo!! Deadliest catch is on the new season!!!
-I'm still fat.
When your four months, chunkey thighs are the CUTEST thing EVER, not so much when your 31.
-everyone dies (dark i know, but true you can't argue with me), so the last thing you just purchased, you didn't need it and years from now when your in the old folks home, your family will be selling for far less at a garage sale.
One of my bestest girlfriends came over today and we disscussed the possibility of a new segement on fox 13 news they should have, me running around with a camera crew chasing after HIDEOUSLEY dressed people.... i think it would be AWESOME and knee slappinley funny! Warch out dude getting gas with your BVD's showing, and stupid highschool chick walking around in those too-long- for -you skinny jeans with the spicey red, shiney laquer, too big for you, UGLY wannabe cheep looking jimmy choo knockoffs. Look, if you can't hack the style, don't hack it off someone else. Chances are you can't pull it off. i have been wanting to get that off my chest.
